On the verge of a Nuclear disaster

66 years after the last nuclear tragedy in Hiroshima Nagasaki, Japan is now faced with a 21st century nuclear threat – this time, one they caused mostly, themselves.
The proud Japanese people are now dependant on other countries and nations for aid and technical help in containing the radioactive threat which, if occurs, will probably change the way we all see nuclear energy and technology forever.

A while ago there was a great social debate regarding should Israel build a nuclear power plant, and in the end – thankfully the opinions against building one prevailed, the claims were exactly what we are witnessing these past few weeks in Japan, nuclear energy is relatively new and man has not yet mastered it’s secrets to the extent of being able to use it safely with no fear. Nuclear energy may yet be man kind’s greatest enemy.
It seems nature has it’s own balance and ways to control man’s squandering nature and unnecessary waste.  As progressive as our technology and machines may be, nature seems to always find a way to fight back. This time, the blow was fatal.

The whole world is now waiting patiently to see the outcome of the Japanese and international fire fighters and nuclear specialists as they try their best to control the overheating cores of the nuclear reactors which were once the heart and the driving force of a great nation. A nation which led the race of technology and enjoyed technology to its full, is now lying in ruins asking for help. It is a bit Ironic, but maybe that’s nature’s way of telling us we should use what we need, no more, no less.

A Virtual Nation

A new Middle east

A lot has been spoken about this phrase which was I think first said by Mr. Shimon Peres currently Israel President. The intention was positive and the echos around the world were the same, but is it really possible? Can a new Middle east arise from the ruins of the existing one? Have people changed as much as to allow such a transformation in which economy and prosperity are the new goals as opposed to land and territory?

I think not, I think many people around the globe still think in middle ages terms when it comes to countries and success, I don’t really understand how could everything else change expect the perception that more land=improvements.

I guess if a group of people would like to create a virtual nation or a virtual country today all they have to do is get together online decide upon goals and start working to accomplish those goals, no real estate is needed (not a physical one anyway), websites are the new real estate which provide one of the best ways to sell, buy, advertise, communicate and practically everything else needed by a 21st century society, so why not start such a project? I mean there will be no immigration problems, and those who will be part of this virtual nation will eventually become citizens who work, pay taxes and of course benefit from being a citizen in such a country.

Maybe one day we will see such a nation or a country in which people no longer kill each other, because on the internet space is not limited and there is no reason to fight for real estate, but I am quite sure humans will always find what to fight about even in a virtual nation.

Development in Israel

One must admire the rate and way in which Israel as a country has developed since 1948 when it was recognized as a country in the UN. Our economy is prospering, technology is at it’s prime (and keeps evolving) and infrastructures and civil services are ones with the highest standards in the world.

Central Tel Aviv

Central Tel Aviv

Israel is trading all over the globe and offers its products to friendly nations, bare in mind that the only income Israel has is from the main export in Israel which is Technology, quite impressive isn’t it? a country which evolved and improved beyond all expectations merely on the power of its citizens creativity and ingenuity.

Highways, state of the art cellular services and facilities, social services to the full (Israel has a free health care program for all it’s citizens as equals) and much more. Hi tech companies are established and sold every day and make the news with the market value they brought, this is one of the main reasons Israel now does not need any more foreign currency and actually has spares and the only merchandise is Hi Tech products!

Central Tel Aviv nowadays looks like it’s going to be a type of middle eastern Manhattan with tall buildings endless companies  and entertainment center, shopping malls appear in the ever developing scenery of Tel Aviv and it’s surroundings with an increasing number of businesses and shops.

One more thing to keep in mind is that Israel did not have it’s economy alone to worry about in the past six decades. Wars, Terror attacks, Rockets and other security threats have always been an issue on which Israel spends millions of dollars just to keep it’s citizens safe.

It is worth while coming to Israel and taking a tour in the urban center of the country and of course the north which is full of Holy sites and the famous lake Galilee, east to Tel Aviv is Jerusalem which has been an inspiration to all religions (even ones which are not related to it) and in the south we have our own little “Vegas” only, without casinos :) Eilat is an amazing city for a vacation, with an amazing coral reef and many attractions and hotels mainly related to the red see, which cannot be found anywhere else on the globe!
