President Shimon Peres is visiting Switzerland

The latest joke from the palestinian community is this:
“President Shimon Peres…” whois by the way won the nobel prize for peace “…should be arrested and courted for his active part in operation cast led”.

As funny as the line above may sound, there are people around the globe who will believe it while reading it. Fot those people I am writing this post.

Firstly I would like to say that as an Israeli, I never voted for Mr. Peres nor to any of his political parties (he was a member in several over the years). BUT, I do appreciate Mr. Peres as a person who was active – in the full extent of the phrase – in building the state of Israel. A person who always sided with peace even when the public demanded blood on both sides. A rational and caring person who never asked anything but the good of the region (the middle east that is).

With that said, I really try and understand those pro-palestinian “organizations” or as some may refer to them – Terror Cells – when they publish such a demand for the Swiss government – to arrest Shimon Peres and “bring him to justice for crimes in operation cast led”…
How about we deal with some recent events?

1. How about issuing an arrest warrant for each and every member of the palestinian authority (I would call them government , but they’re not) for the last rocket lunches that were shot towards Israeli cities in the aim of Murdering whole families?
2. How about condemning the massacre in Itamar last month?
3. How about issuing an arrest warrant for Mr. Hassan nasralla for the hundreds of rockets he launched in aim of killing Israeli Children?
4. How about Bringing Mr. Bashar Assad for killing hundreds of his own people just for demonstrating a few days ago?
5. How About condemning and demanding justice for the 3000 who dies in the twin towers in 9/11?

I could go on and on but I think it would be pointless the method of throwing sand in people’s eyes is worn out, people don’t believe such lies and accusations and no one thinks Palestinians are innocent anymore.

We all know the murderous nature of most Palestinian Organizations such as the Hamas, Islamic Jihad etc… and we all have seen it in actions.
We all saw the Palestinians literally dance on the rooftops while the twin towers were burning and while scad missiles were showering down on Tel Aviv.

Anyone who has even a slight sense of justice and logic can see what is going on, Palestinians don’t want peace, if they have no war, most of their political parties have no reason to exist, and they cannot incite anyone while there is peace.

Some people here in Israel still believe there will be peace one day, me, I stopped believing long ago, sadly, there will always be war in the region and Israel will always defend itself and keep maintaining one of the strongest armies in the world.

I would love to hear what you have to say – please post a comment below.

On the verge of a Nuclear disaster

66 years after the last nuclear tragedy in Hiroshima Nagasaki, Japan is now faced with a 21st century nuclear threat – this time, one they caused mostly, themselves.
The proud Japanese people are now dependant on other countries and nations for aid and technical help in containing the radioactive threat which, if occurs, will probably change the way we all see nuclear energy and technology forever.

A while ago there was a great social debate regarding should Israel build a nuclear power plant, and in the end – thankfully the opinions against building one prevailed, the claims were exactly what we are witnessing these past few weeks in Japan, nuclear energy is relatively new and man has not yet mastered it’s secrets to the extent of being able to use it safely with no fear. Nuclear energy may yet be man kind’s greatest enemy.
It seems nature has it’s own balance and ways to control man’s squandering nature and unnecessary waste.  As progressive as our technology and machines may be, nature seems to always find a way to fight back. This time, the blow was fatal.

The whole world is now waiting patiently to see the outcome of the Japanese and international fire fighters and nuclear specialists as they try their best to control the overheating cores of the nuclear reactors which were once the heart and the driving force of a great nation. A nation which led the race of technology and enjoyed technology to its full, is now lying in ruins asking for help. It is a bit Ironic, but maybe that’s nature’s way of telling us we should use what we need, no more, no less.

Only Arabs can…

Last night a whole Jewish family was MURDERED BY ARABS.

The Family: Mother, Father, an 11 years old boy, a 3 years old buy and a 4 moths old baby were found by their other 12 years old daughter as their throats cut with a knife in the village of Itamar in Israel.

The 4 months old baby was murdered in it’s father’s arms and the killers, ARABS are hunted down by the police and military.

Who else can perform such a hideous crime? Who can kill a 4 months old baby? A 3 years old boy? An 11 years old boy? For no reason but “Killing in the name of Islam?”.

What other religion produces such atrocities?  People so twisted with a religion preaching for killing in it’s name?

What people around the globe probably don’t understand is that right now, this is happening in Israel, because international public opinion restrains Israel from blasting the territories out of the map, but this may be over soon.

Retaliation will come.  I like to think I am a peace loving person, but in this case, I really do hope Israelis will retaliate and do it properly this time.

The settlers in the territories will respond and the IDF MUST have an answers to people who think and live by the sword.

I don’t buy the bullshit about Islam being a peaceful religion, it may be but it is enough to have a few rotten apples to make the whole basket go bad, and in this case there are much more then a few rotten apples.

To the rest of the world I say WAKE UP the next murder can be of our family, your sons and daughters, Islam makes no discrimination as we witnessed last night.

Threats from the north

It’s a little bit funny…what Mr. Nasralla and his Hizbollah organization are trying to do in the past few days.

Being completely forgotten and having to hide deep underground (litteraly) in Lebanon, Mr. Nasralla and his Hizbollah Terrorists are trying to surface back into the political arena.

The recent threat from Iran’s puppet was that …should Israel start a war Mr. Nasralla will ask his Hizbollah terrorists to conquer the Golan height.

In his recent speech, Nasrall also mentioined the “latest win” when a couple of years ago the Hizbollah Was vanquished and Lebanon turned to a rubble of stones after the IDF decided Israel had enough.

What Mr. Nasralla doesn’t understand is that the IDF currently can afford to obey the international war laws – unlike the Hizbollah that was trying to fight “Iwo Jima” style in the last encounter it had with the IDF, but should Israel feel threatened and should Israeli territory be in danger, the international War laws will no longer apply and the IDF’s answer to fighting underground would be what the US did in Iwo Jima (They burned the island with Napalm) or worse.

I wonder what makes the Hizbollah people go out and fight for a men who vows to sacrifice their life from a well secured location in a bunker underground?

What makes a Hizbollah warrior go out and risk his or her life?

Is it faith? Because no matter what god you believe in – if he asks you to go out and die then its not much of god….

Is it for their leader? Because Israelis also follow their commanders in the IDF, in fact that’s the IDF moto – “follow me!”, but then again, that commander is supposed to lead the attack and go to the field first not hide underground in a bunker.

Is it Ideology? Fighting for the people is a good reason, the thing is – I am not sure the Lebanese citizens want to fight’ in fact I am not sure if they wouldn’t prefer living under a bit more stable government and not have to worry about terrorists fighting and launching rockets from their houses.

To sum it all, I think that any reasonable person going out to fight for a cause must first stop and think – is that cause worth fighting for? Is there a cause?

Two can play that game

Iran’s game of “we are not creating a nuclear weapon we just want nuclear technology…” is now played by the Americans as well.

The three “hikers” arrested in Iran recently pleaded not guilty of espionage and claim they were hiking the mountains and hills of Kurdistan as far fetched as that may seem, Iran’s revolutionary court now has to deal with the same difficulties the rest of the world is facing. It is quite obvious that the American hikers were not just hiking, the area they claim to hike at is a war zone and I find it hard to believe anyone will willingly go there unless they have a death wish. I am not saying the hikers are spies but maybe they hoped to get some scoops that will be worth money afterwards or something of the sort.

The Iranian court is now facing a big problem, a trial must take place and they need to find real evidence if they wish to keep these guys behind bars. The way I see it the Iranians have two optional moves in this political chess game:

  1. They find evidence or make up evidence claiming the hikers are indeed spies on an espionage mission risking an international incident.
  2. They release the hikers and try to “look good” to the international community which will get them some “humanity points” which they need so badly.

In any case, I think the Iranians will ultimately gain from this incident, at the moment the nuclear weapons issues is somewhere in the background when international efforts to release the American prisoners are taking the headlines spot.

The question which remains is what will the US do about two of it’s citizens being held in a foreign country under false pretense.

The old proud US would ask nicly then set an ultimatum, lets wait and see what the Obama US will do….

Riots in Egypt

How easy it is to inflame an Arab mob? Very easy – all that needs to be said is a word or two against the “Zionist enemy” and they all go out to the streets no matter what the reason is.

The riots in Egypt are probably the result of a very bad economy which brought people to a point where they can take no more, the question is do the Egyptian people know what are the consequences of such a process? Change does not have to be accompanied with bloodshed and violence the problem is they do not know a different way to make a change, democracy cannot exist in a country where radical Muslims keep inciting the mob manipulating them to fight something that doesn’t exist. Today I red in the paper that the people of Egypt blame president Mubarak of being an Israeli agent send by the “Zionist enemy” to destroy their country, in their mind israel is the cause for all their problems.

This is the Arab solution for every mischief, corruption, greed and the “live by your sword” idea gets them in a mess and when they cannot find a way out, they simply blame Israel and try to kill someone (President Mubarak’s life were threatened several times during the riots).

Let’s imagine a situation where Israel is not part of the equation, lets Imagine that there is a different country bordering Egypt in the north, what will be different? Will the Egyptian government change it’s nature? Will corruption no longer exist in Egypt?

The issue that bothers most Egyptians is their well being, and that wouldn’t change regardless to Israel’s existence.

The “Muslim Brothers” naturally took advantage of the situation trying to make the people in the streets direct their hate towards Israel but thank god that some Egyptian people are enlightened enough to identify the personal agenda of such groups and know the real nature of thing, but many do believe those rumors which in the end of the day may hurt the Egyptian people and nothing more.

To sum it up, my advice to the Egyptian people would be to consider their moves carefully, changing governments is not a simple process and the correct way to do it will be by democratic elections and political tools.

Iran’s right for nuclear fuel

the Saga continues, Iran keeps making jokes at the expense of the international community and the funny thing is that everyone keeps “buying” that.

Phrases like “Iran has a right to have nuclear reactors for “civilian” purposes and in the same breath they keep threatening the world and Israel in particular that they will annihilate it completely.

How can anyone take a peaceful statement or anything that resembles caring for Iranian citizens when militant threats are heard every other day by Iranian leaders and the Iranian president in particular.

In addition, the fact that Iranian funded weapons keep “finding their way” into terrorist hands does not help Iran base it’s claim for “the right to bring nuclear generated electricity” to it’s people.

It is well known that Iran’s only target is a nuclear weapon, but for some reason the international community keeps sanctioning the country showing the world something is done. The fact is, that there are some countries and Israel is one of them, that will never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. Whether we have the right to demand that from Iran or the international community is irrelevant, Israel will eliminate any nuclear future threat from Iran with any means necessary.

So to the world leaders I say: if you do want to prevent bloodshed and if you do want to have peace in the middle east and the world in general, start working harder to disarm Iran from it’s to be – nuclear capabilities, otherwise a military conflict will be inevitable.

The US also understands that Israel – it’s only true ally in the region will not allow Iran to achieve nuclear weapon capabilities, the US tries to achieve the same goal in peaceful means for a couple of years now, but since they have had no success in the matter, they will ultimately have no choice but to raise the bar.

An ultimatum is imminent as Iran keeps ignoring the international calls to stop nuclear development, the upcoming decisions will decide the faith of this region and the world in general. No one can think of a world where Iran will be able to threat other countries with nuclear attacks, they do that today with conventional weapons – imagine the world with a nuclear Iran with leaders such as Ahmedinidjad making threats every other day but this time – they will be much more dangerous.

Avi Cohen a Football legend

Today Israel as a country bows it’s head as one of it’s greatest sports icons left this world. Avi Cohen, one of our top football (Soccer) players died after a week in hospital due to a motocycle accident which led to a head injury.

Avi Cohen was a football star not only in Israel, he played in the legendary football team – Liverpool in it’s greatest days where his first game was in the crowning game of 1979/1980 against Aston Villa, Cohen scored a goal in that game which led to the winning of his team – Liverpool.

Avi cohen kept playing a substantial role in the Israeli football world as a coach and consultant in many teams and organizations. On December 20th he was severely injured in a motorcycle accident and on December 29th he died at the age of 54.

Stormy weather

Israel has been enjoying a fair weather for the past couple of months, but yesterday, all hell broke loose and the storm that swept Europe spreading it’s cold tentackles all over has reached our shores.

One must understand that Israel is a desert country by nature, yes we do have snow occasionally in the Hermon mountain and yes we do have lake galilee up north but in essence, our weather does not include 100 Km/h winds , hail and non stop rain, when such a weather strike our land, disasters will happen eventuallt.

As a result, this morning I woke up to find roofing parts spread all over our neighborhood, broken trees laying around in the middle of the street and of course, the electricity was down for about 3 hours in the morning. We are not equipped for such weather and as a result clothing and heating our houses is a big problem in such stormy days, especially when most of our heating systems is electricity based and when there is no electricity there is no heat.

Sirens are heard all over by ambulance vehicles and fire trucks rushing to deal with pending or already occurring disasters, as if the Carmel forest wasn’t enough – nature is teaching us a lesson.

The Wikileaks parse

Everybody is talking these days about the wikileaks website. In my eyes it is merely a media item, I cannot believe that a country as powerful as the United states of America cannot stop a group of men trying to publish confidential materiel on the internet which the US , if needed, can shut down all together.

The press releases about 400,000 confidential documents see to me obscure and imaginary and to tell you the truth, I don’t think anyone can check the authenticity of these documents. Be that as it may, the world media (and as far as I know only the media) is having a PR orgasm everybody is talking about it and stories about the wikileaks website keep rising from time to time.

The CNN website is full of such stories and I have to ask myself, the CIA is a very powerful organization, maybe even the most powerful secret service in the world, if the documents were authentic, and if this really was a threat, couldn’t such an organization stop such leaks?

Another question which rises is why would anyone right in their mind try and publish such documents? It is the same as signing your own death warrant, you will always be hunted and never free, your life will take place in dark places surrounded with investigators and government people, and the only time you will see daylight will be probably – at your own execution.

I am really finding this item hard to believe and as I think further about it I keep finding holes and fact that strongly indicate that such leaks exist only in the media’s wet dreams, information as sensitive as the one at hand leaking out of government offices cannot take place at such scale. I would understand one two or maybe ten documents leaking to the public, and I am pretty sure every country has it’s own secrets to leak but 400,000 documents? Common, even for the consiprators amongst us – this is too much!
