Games theory

I think the IHH has been reading to much science fiction lately.
As I read on the news now, they are planning on sending more “aid ships” to Israeli waters in hopes that maybe if they show they are determined, Israel will allow them to go through without a security check and without verifying there are no weapons aboard those ships.

It’s kind of amusing, if the IHH claims the ships carry humanitarian aid supplies, why don’t they allow the Israeli government check those ships and then deliver the goods to Gaza? If those ships do not carry missiles and rockets, why do those aboard those ships fight to defend the ships with their lives?

There are many whys in these so called “aid cruises” but the bottom line is, Israel will never allow a vessel to approach it’s shores, especially the Gaza strip shores, unchecked.

Think what would you do? If you knew you enemies are delivering weapons to hurt your civilians, women, children, elderly – missiles make no discrimination.
Israel has no choice but to stop those ships and check for weapons in any mean necessary, even at the cost of lives, otherwise’ the outcome will be loss of lives among Israeli children.

I am quite sure that the next ship which will approach the Israeli shores will stop, and if it wont, it will be boarded, and if that doesn’t succeed, I am quite sure the IDF also has a plan of sinking those ships – anything but let missiles and rockets reach the Gaza strip.

The reason for those cruises is quite known. The Egyptian border is getting tighter, and watched closely by both the Israeli and Egyptian sides so the missiles and rockets cannot come from there, so the other option is to send a ship with hidden weapons disguised as a “Humanitarian Aid ship” – we all know the world loves an underdog – and the Palestinians win either way.

If the ship gets boarded the passengers will then go around the world telling everyone “how brutal and aggressive the IDF is”, if they won’t get boarded (which I doubt) they can deliver missiles to the Hamas and Islamic Jihad – it’s a win win situation for the Palestinians, Hopefully, the world will be smarter this time, and ask some questions such as:
Why won’t the ships allow the IDF to check for weapons on board if they only carry humanitarian aid?

With great power…

The israeli Foreign minister Avigdor Liberman claims that a cease fire with theHamas Terrorist organization is a mistake, the cease fire will allow Hamas to re-equip itself with weapons and missiles and get stronger until the next attack.
“What would you do?”:

The question Mr. liberman is posing is quite a difficult one. If one wants peace, one needs to cease fire, but if the other side’s interests are different and they will get more weapons until the next attack – it is a bad idea to stop the fighting.

Unfortunately, experience shows us that whenever Israel stopped the fire, the other side, be it Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hizbollah or whatever terrorist organization we were fighting, instead of striving for peace, they took advantage of the cease fire to buy more weapons and plan the next attack on Israeli civilians.

It is however somewhat frustrating, I am sure that there are Palestinians who really do want the fighting to stop, and really do want peace, but Israel as a country which had it’s share of lies being told and the acting of it’s enemies as if “all they want is peace”, cannot afford to loosen the grip – especially not when the Hamas is now on it’s knees and the IDF is in control, the Israel missile defense system “Iron Dome” made Hamas and Islamic Jihad’s attempts to kill Israeli civilians futile, the missile blow up in the air long before they reach the ground, and those who fired those missiles are often caught or shot dead.

To remember a movie quote from spiderman “…With great power comes great responsibility…” the quote is right but the question – what counts as power?
A high tech defense system shooting down the rockets and missiles? Or those who fire those rockets upon civilians?

Iron Dome – tipping the balance

After years of launching rockets towards the southern part of Israel, the scales are now tipping towards the Israeli side.
The Iron Dome defense system is now operational for a week, although partially and not covering the whole southern area, but the rockets which used to scare hundreds of thousands of Israeli civilians are now decreasing in threat as the Iron dome defense system deploys more and more.
Iron Dome in Action:

Over the weekend more then 100 rockets were fired by the Palestinians on Israeli women and children in the aim to kill the innocent, thanks to the Israeli Iron dome system all but 6 were shot down and did not cause loss of lives.

The question remains, if now, Israel can defend itself against the threat of Palestinians missiles, does that deny the Israeli right to try and stop those missiles the way it did before? Will “cast Iron 2” be condemned by the international community when it happens?

My answer, sadly, is yes, the world will condemn Israel for any attack it will make in the Palestinian territories, because the world still reacts to blood, and when no blood will be shown on the Israel side thanks to technology, the international community will react better to the wounded Palestinian shown on TV then to a decade of missile lunches and hundreds of Israeli wounded by those missiles.

Men is a simple creature and as many others in nature we react impulsively and respond better to what we see, in most cases, disregarding prior events.

The Massacre in Itamar where Palestinians murdered a whole family, mother, father and 4 children, the lynch in the Israel soldiers where Palestinians tore Israeli soldiers body parts with their hands, the suicide bombers which got on buses and blew hundreds of civilians with no discrimination.

The world will forget all that upon the first image of a bloody Palestinian which will be shown on the screen.

The press is also blood-happy, lets face it, blood=ratings, ratings=more money, so to simplify it:

blood=more money

This is also the reason the the Israeli-Palestinan conflict will never end, too many powerful people will loose if it does, so those people or organizations or whatever – keep the fire burning.
