Nonconstructive Sanctions?

Iran showed it’s resentfulness on recent European Sanction following Iran’s persistent will to achieve nuclear abilities. The Iranians are claiming that these sanction are “neither assisting the negotiations nor do they impose any harm on Iran”.

I only have a couple of things to say to the Iranian leadership:

  1. Sanctions are not supposed to be constructive – at least not when they are imposed against you, these sanctions are supposed to be destructive and nonconstructive as to make the country against which they are imposed change it’s way and agree with the international community.
  2. The whole world knows that Iran is NOT crating nuclear weapons for peaceful purposes. So stop acting like 4 year old and stop showing your stupid grin saying “We want nuclear power for peaceful purposes…”, yeah and Hitler only wanted to see how world domination feels like. In short – Iran will never have nuclear capabilities, just as Iraq didn’t (hint).
  3. What negotiations are the Iranian talking about?no one is negotiating anything – the world Demands that Iran will stop enriching Uranium and cease all nuclear development – no one is negotiating with you! Besides there is a saying:”If one person tells you you’re drunk – tell him to piss off, if two people tell you you’re drunk tell them to piss of, if everyone tells you you’re drunk ….. go to sleep….”.

To sum it all, Iran probably thinks the international community is playing it’s game, like Bart Simpson they are saying “we didn’t do anything , nobody saw us do it, you can’t prove anything…” but I can I assure the Iranian government – you can test the worlds patience for so long…. afterwords there will be no talking just the ruins of what used to be Iran….

Iron Dome

Iron Dome, the codename for the IDF most advanced defensive system will protect Israeli cities and settlements from short range missiles. Today the final test was done to the system and it was – as expected – successful, the threat of short range missiles and rockets is now over.

Iron Dome

Iron Dome (from the IDF website)

I am quite sure the terrorists on the other side i.e. Gaza and Lebanon Will try and find a way to incite the region in different ways but now – it wont be as simple as firing rockets on civilians like cowards, perhaps now, these guys will have to stand up and fight like real men if they still think their cause is just!

The test made the news today and many people in the city of Sderot and the many other southern cities in Israel were ecstatic to hear that their nightmare of living in the shadow of the rockets threat is soon to be over.

The rockets threat until now was also a hassle from Israel’s northern border where the Hizbollah used rockets on Israeli civilians in the two Lebanon wars in recent years – now, I guess Hassan Nasralla and his friends will have to come out of their caves and fight the IDF which is a whole different game!

Here is a Video of the successful test today:

The Iron Dome is a part of Israel multi-layer defense plan which include the “Hetz” or arrow in enligh as the defense system against long range missiles, “Sharvit Ksamim” or Magic wand for medium range missiles and the “Kipat Barzel” or Iron Dome as the short range defensive system.

How rude can you get?

Reviewing my website statistics I have come to learn there was an innocent (probably) internet user who searched google for the term “Hizbollah daily update” ( I didn’t know such an update esists) and clicked the Israel Now website on the google results page. I mean what more can do you say to a person like that? Isn’t the title “Israel Now” enough to make you understand that if you will find an update regarding Hizbollah it won;t be what your looking for!

Maybe I should put a sign or change my website’s name to something easier for such people to understand, maybe I should call it “Pro-Israel-Anti-Hizbollah NOW” maybe that will keep such users away from the website.

Ohh… I forgot to mention, I got a bunch of comments with some nice “blessing” from that guy…. of course I have deleted them all, but I guess that is the exact reason such users enter the Israel-Now website.

No News is good news?

This is the first time for a long time that I have entered the CNN “Middle east” section and there was no new story or article.

We are used to the status quo which is that our region is always full of news, be it statements by nation or religious leaders, or a bombing event or any other terrorist issue, but today – all is quiet which is kind of weird if you think of it with all the latest ship convoys and missile attacks, it seems like the militants have laid down their weapons as if saying “we will allow you a grace Friday…” on the news here in Israel there is not much going on as well, everything is pretty ordinary and maybe things are changing or maybe people are too tired to tell stories or maybe it’s merely an oman of things to come.

Either way I really do hope this peace and quiet to persist, it is nice to have a calm weekend without having to follow current events on the television or radio.

Islamic haircuts

The newest joke from Iran: Recommended Islamic haircuts for the young muslim!

Well restrictions and limitations and denying basic rights from the people of Iran were only a matter of time, now, there is a recommended haircut by the government of Iran which will soon enough become a law in Iran and people walking in the streets of Tehran not cutting their hair according to Iran’s guideline will probably be arrested and interrogated (probably also punished) for their “crime”.

The haircut guidelines were unveiled in the Hijab and chastity festival (can there be a festival of opression?) which is aimed to show young Muslims it is possible to look good and feel good without the “horrible” western fashion.

It is both funny and sad, freedom of speech and creation is completely denied from people in Islamic states, those same people come to western countries and claim these rights as their birth right. I really want to see one Palestinian or any other arab go on the Iranian Parliament stand talking against Iran like they do all over the globe – and in the Israeli Knesset.

you have the right to …

How far are we willing to go in order to preserve our democracy? What is considered freedom of speech and what is considered incitement for terror? The thin line never ceases to move around and as it seems, governments all over the globe in the western world don’t really have a straight answer.

In the meantime, Those who wish to engage in terrorist acts are winning, they say what they want, when they want to whom they want and inflame the masses – all in the name of preserving our right to express ourselves.

Recent western culture development came a long way in the past decades and we are now – as a society more equal then ever, but while we achieved such an important goal, those who wish us ill took advantage of this quality of ours and used it to destroy the very foundation of the right to express ourselves.

The equation then, is quite simple:

Human rights = better life to those who wish it = fertile ground for terror

Sadly, this is the reality we face today as we keep growing as a society. We want the freedom to do more and the ability to create, learn and teach but in the same time we provide education and materials for the bad guys.

The main problem is that same thin line, there is not even one politician that can say: “This is where the line crosses” we are always in a blur in this issue and our main fear – to be deprived of our rights is our main flaw as well. The fear that if we deny these rights from our enemies on our land, it may also deny our own rights.

Take for example the eavesdropping issue in the US, the whole country went against the idea that the country can eavesdrop and follow citizens acts and phone calls, but did anyone ever stopped to think – “hey – this will stop the bad guys as well…”? The answer is no, we are a selfish species and as one, we primarily make sure we have what we need and only then do we look out for our fellow men.

In the meantime, while we argue, make points, claim our claims and debate whether it is right for a country to stealthily eavesdrop on it’s citizens terrorists are use the chaos in this area to build more bombs and plan their evil plans.

Nothing can stop Iran

Obama probably figured things out with Iran when he signed the latest sanctions towards Iran. But the arrogant Tone and figure of speech by Ahmedinijad and the way he misleads (how ironic) his people is horrifying.
In one of his latest speeches, Ahmedinijad said that despite the sanctions Iran is exporting much more goods then it did before the sanctions, I doubt that anyone did a check on that but my guess is that Iran is loosing a lot of money in these sanctions and it’s citizens are suffering because of a single person – their leader (well a group of people maybe). Ahmedinijad also said that Iran’s enemies must change their hostile (?!) attitude or else – Iran will teach them an unforgettable lesson, the only hostile attitude and political threats are made by Mr. Ahmedinijad, and they was he incites his people over non-existing issues is shameful even for him and his entourage.

But the whole issue around Iran and the nuclear weapons development is an absurd, the men is clearly mentally ill. he is no more then a puppet on a string and the idiotic things he says (sadly) make all the microphones directed to him and analysts all over the globe analyze his every word, the press simply loves him and I believe they would pay good money for him to keep spreading his nonsense around as ratings go up for them.
If the leaders of the world would really like to end the Iranian saga, it is quite simple, put the sanctions and shut down the microphones on Iran until the Iranian nuclear development program stops. If he does not have anyone to threat or intimidate he becomes a non issue.

The problem and solution lay in the same place, the main risk of Iran is that with a lunatic like that leading a country which posses nuclear arms or any mass destruction weapons can easily press the button anytime he thinks a shampoo company in America violated the sanctity of Islam or any other Islamic matter…

CNN article about the issue
